RACING WITH VISION

Toskhara has successfully bred, shown, and raced Arabians in both the United States and Europe since the 1980s, are well versed in imports and exports, and positioned to choose the best horses in the world.

Their overriding ambition as historical breeders of primarily imported pure Polish lines is not only to perpetuate the lineage, but to take advantage of its predictable power to create superbly athletic and extremely beautiful horses. Toskhara’s senior sire is Kordelas, an international champion in halter, a successful race horse and a champion reiner. The farm and the show and performance barns of Toskhara Arabians are extremely active in the show world in America and held in high regard.

In 2005 Dick and Christine Reed of Toskhara acquired the pure Polish racehorse Favoritt by Monarch AH for their race breeding program. Since Favoritt’s acquisition, he continued to race with more wins including a stakes win on the turf, amassed $139,212 US dollars in earnings and retired sound. His first foals will be of racing age in 2010.

Line Dancer was smartly acquired by Toskhara Arabians in February 2009 along with a herd of outstanding broodmares and race prospects. Dick Reed of Toskhara was elected to the board of directors for TABA, the Arabian racing association in Texas, and also accepted a position on the Race Committee for the national racing association, the Arabian Jockey Club. These moves instantaneously boosted the visibility of the Toskhara operation in the racing world.

THE NEW ERA

Line Dancer is of the best known and oldest sons of Burning Sand, leading sire of Arabian racehorses in USA since 2006. Line Dancer was an amazing runner with heart to spare. He spent most of his career in the United States, winning a phenomenal 17 stakes races (including multiple Grade 1 stakes) and five Darley Awards. He earned $423,061 including a 2nd place finish in the prestigious Kahayla Classic in Dubai with very little prep.

Line Dancer’s talents didn’t stop on the track, as he was quick to prove his siring ability with stakes winners and a Darley winning daughter from his first crops. Line Dancer’s performance gives him bragging rights as one of the best American Arabian racehorses in history as well as one of the best sires. Certainly this congenial, easy going horse is the best son to date of Burning Sand, following in the footsteps of his father. Line Dancer boasts one of the leading winners-to-starters ratios, and his claim to siring fame includes winners in America and in UAE.

While Toskhara is firmly dedicated to Polish breeding, their selection of the great Line Dancer and many of his progeny is a new direction and offshoot of their program as they turned extra focus to the racing side of their barns and desired a well proven race sire for a jumpstart. They responded to the always changing environment of racing. Like many astute racing breeders in America, selecting the best purebred individuals from many bloodline sources to optimize performance results is a strategy that works.
